What do you enjoy most about this class?
I enjoy "Figure it out Friday's" They are fun and very original. We always get to do exciting math problems, that are difficult but fun to figure out. What are your areas of strength in this class? (Show evidence) My areas of strength are "Embracing the struggle". I have never been a real "math person", so when I don't understand, I embrace the struggle by keep trying and by asking questions. What are areas where you can improve or grow? (Show evidence) I need to improve on wps. I try as hard as I can for them, but I don't show enough work and I wait for the last day to complete it. What is your plan to follow through with this improvement or growth? I am going to start doing one problem a day, and the rest over the weekend. I also will write out all the steps I took to get to my solution. If I write all my steps in order, it will help it look neater, and be easier to get to the solution. Describe your study habits. I, also in this class, sit in a quiet room with music playing to study. I procrastinate very badly in this class. I always wait to the last day to complete an assignment. I like to do lots of the assignments with my peers who have the same worksheet. It helps us all. Describe your classroom behavior and participation. In this class I focus more, because I don't understand this subject as well as humanities. I get very distracted by some of the people in my group. They will laugh and make immature jokes, while me and my partner try and pay attention. Sometimes the jokes are funny, so we laugh and do get off topic. I try to participate as much as I can. When I clearly understand something, I raise my hand and say the answer. If I do not understand, I write the answer and steps in my math notebook. In what ways can you improve on either study habits and/or behavior as the year progresses? For studying- I can, as I said, work on one math problem a day. I won't procrastinate, and I will have my work done early. For Class behavior and Participation- I can try to not laugh at the jokes and ignore them. I also want to listen more closely, and take better notes to look back and refer to. |
