In my opinion, this video was harder to prepare for because the length was much longer. I practiced with my partner a lot in class, and outside of class I tried to master the pronunciation of the words I didn't know. In the first video I mostly just memorized the script, but I made a solid attempt to learn the words this time. I would like to thank my partner Kat for really helping me pronounce the words I was struggling with. This video taught me to think about the pronunciation of words and how grammar is different in Spanish than English. I am excited to continue pushing myself to learn a new language. I have wanted to speak Spanish for as long as I remember, and I feel like this class will help me greatly. During the conversation, my partner had clear pronunciation which helped me learn new vocabulary and use it properly. I need to work on my grammar in Spanish. Sentence structure is not something I have ever practiced before and I want to work on it. The next video we do, I would like to collaborate with someone I am closer with. When I collaborate with one of my friends always feel more confident when filming. It also makes it easier because I can practice more with them outside of school. I would like to be able to discuss current events or be able to hold a simple conversation without a script. I can challenge myself to speak Spanish outside of HTHNC by talking with Spanish speakers in my free time. When ordering food or am at a store (and someone speaks Spanish) I could practice with them. For years I have wanted to travel to Mexico and once I practice more, my trip will be much more successful and beneficial.
